TL;DR: If the server is ever lost โ whether through account compromise, accidental deletion, or anything else โ this permission lets us bring you back to a restored version. That's it. Nothing else.
The Problem
Discord servers can be permanently lost in a number of ways:
- Account termination โ if Axo (the owner) is terminated by Discord, the server goes with it
- Account compromise โ if someone gains access to the owner's account, they could delete or nuke the server
- Accidental deletion โ mistakes happen, and Discord doesn't have an undo button for deleted servers
- Any other catastrophic event โ raids, rogue admins, etc.
In any of these cases, every member would be lost โ and there's no way to get everyone back manually.
The Solution
By checking "Allow the bot to pull me into the server", you grant the bot a special Discord permission called guilds.join. This lets us:
- Add you back to a restored or backup server automatically
- Preserve the community without everyone needing to find a new invite link
Think of it like a safety net โ it's there in case things go wrong, so the community can recover quickly.
What it will NOT be used for
โ ๏ธ To be very clear:
- We will never use this to pull you into random or unrelated servers
- We will never use this for advertising, spam, or promotions
- The only use case is member restoration after a server catastrophe
It's completely optional
This checkbox is not required to verify. You can skip it entirely and still get verified normally. We just strongly recommend it because it protects you too โ you won't lose access to the community if something goes wrong.
Changed your mind?
You can revoke this permission at any time in two ways:
- Use
/verification revokein Discord โ this revokes everything, deletes your data, and you can re-verify without the option checked - Go to Discord Settings โ Authorized Apps and remove Fido โ however, this will NOT delete your data from our end (see our Privacy Policy for details)
๐ก Recommended: Always use /verification revoke instead of manually deauthorizing through Discord. The command properly deletes all your stored data and revokes authorization from both sides.
